Have you ever worked with someone, but there still is a communication break down?
Of course you have. You answered everything they’ve asked. You’ve offered suggestions along the way. You’ve even explored some options … just in case. But, there’s still a communication break down.
It’s like you’re both communicating, but not really communicating?!? Is that even possible? Well, yeah!
Here’s some tips:
- When in doubt, over-communicate.
- Find out how (by what method) your audience prefers to be communicated with, such as email, phone, or visit. And yes, everyone will be different. But, it’s not about you, it’s about them and their performance for you.
- Try to cover the basics, like Who, What, When, Where, Why and How.
- Be honest. Don’t be hurtful, but be honest.
