Planning 101

July 25, 2014

“He who fails to plan is planning to fail” – Winston Churchill

Proactive planning is essential for preventing downstream failures.  Granted planning should eventually be implemented into action.  But, a preemptive discussion is better than the one that never occurs.

The process of Risk Management is one way to identify issues that can lead to very good discussions.  From those discussions, corrective action options can be down-selected, and plans can be made to reduce the risk.

Identify risk issues

Assess what would be affected

Measure likelihood of it happening

Rank the risks

Establish desired results you want

Develop viable options

Select the best strategy

Implement that strategy

Adjust and Perfect the strategy

What Risks will you be facing in the coming weeks?
