Let’s define Immigration

May 29, 2010

As I’ve said before:  This big media stir is not about Illegal “Immigration”.
To “Immigrate” there are defined laws, rules and procedures that need to be followed.

Sneaking across the border is NOT immigration!

Just because the United States has failed to control its borders, failed to control those with travel, student, or work visas, and failed at enforcing their own laws, does not mean Illegal Immigrants get a free ride with education, health care, and benefits no matter how long the offense has occurred.  Those “rights” are reserved for Citizens, for which those sneaking across the border, are not.

It is:
Illegal Trespassing
To illegally invade
To illegally occupy
To infiltrate the United States
Etc., etc., etc.

So, let’s stop calling it Immigration.

If you agree, please pass this along, and let others know.

If you do not agree, just be part of the problem.

Still love Teddy’s quote after all these years:  “In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American, and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American…There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag… We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language… and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.” ~ Theodore Roosevelt 1907
